22×22 Victory Mile

https://fb.me/e/2WtloAQ1g

Since January 2021, I have walked 22 miles on the 22nd of each month (in sun, rain, and snow) to bring awareness to the fact that roughly 22 veterans a day lose their battle with PTSD.

On October 22, 2022, my 22nd time walking 22-miles, I would like to invite the community of Wake Forest to join me in the last mile, the 484th mile: the Victory Mile. Those battling PTSD have Victory, they are not defeated! And as a community, we are here to support them!

The Holding Village Pool Parking lot will be the start and finish line for the one-mile loop. Veteran service organizations (Team RWB, Travis Manion Foundation, and others) will be at the event to spread awareness and encourage those veterans in attendance. All are welcome! Please feel free to share the event information.

Parking is limited, as the pool parking lot is the gathering space, please park on a neighboring side streets and rendezvous around noon. I will not start before noon, but depending on the weather, personal condition, and God’s timing, the start may be later than noon. Please have patience as I am walking as quickly as possible.

If you are not in the Wake Forest, NC area and would still like to participate, feel free to track a virtual mile, and add your “finisher pic” to the event! The more the merrier!
